19th-century English double-leg writing desk by S. & H. Jewell, A., a highly regarded furniture maker founded in 1830. The desk features a brown leather writing surface with a beautiful, weathered patina and the maker's mark in the drawers.
The desk stands on its original casters and offers six drawers for ample storage. It exhibits honest signs of wear commensurate with its age, enhancing its character and authenticity (see photos). An excellent example of English craftsmanship with beautiful proportions and character.
