Product description
Sculptural Italian three-light floor lamp from the 1970s, combining Murano glass shades, polished chrome-plated metal and a substantial white marble base. Three slender chrome columns rise to different heights from the circular marble base, creating a dynamic architectural composition. Each column supports a large decorative glass shade featuring a soft white opaline body complemented by clear sculptural ribbed glass detailing. When illuminated, the glass diffuses the light into a warm atmospheric glow while emphasizing the dimensional quality of the hand-worked glass. When switched off, the contrasting transparent and opaque sections remain highly decorative. The staggered vertical arrangement, reflective chrome surfaces and rounded glass forms give the lamp a distinctive Space Age character with strong 1970s Italian design influences. Its generous proportions and sculptural silhouette make it particularly effective as a statement floor lamp in a living room, lounge, entrance hall or sophisticated contemporary interior. The lamp has been carefully refurbished and professionally rewired while retaining minor signs of age and use consistent with its vintage character.
