An elegant and dramatic Milanese Art Deco sideboard from the 1940s, featuring a refined geometric structure and a spectacular walnut burl veneer, selected and arranged to highlight the extraordinary richness of the natural grain. The front is embellished with a unique interplay of symmetrical mirrors and book-like grain, creating a visually striking decorative effect. The burl, with its characteristic grain and knots, takes center stage here, enhanced by the contrast with the darker parts of the structure and the polished surface. The sideboard features four doors, fitted with elegant circular metal knobs, and a large storage structure. The base, with its geometric and monumental shapes, features a distinctive stepped finish and shaped feet with metal inserts, elements that contribute to the strong Art Deco character of the piece. The upper shelf is enhanced by a shaped mirror, which preserves the surface and enhances its visual depth. A striking piece, an expression of refined Italian Art Deco from the Milanese area, ideal for elegant and sophisticated settings, both in period settings and contemporary interiors. It shows normal signs of age and use. The left lock is purely decorative.
