This 1930s bedside table is a fine example of Art Deco furniture at its most refined. Crafted in beech and richly veneered in walnut across all visible surfaces (with the exception of the back), it reflects the era’s emphasis on elegance, material quality, and balanced design. Pieces like this were once a staple of well-appointed interiors, with many subtle variations produced to suit the tastes of the period.
The table features a beautifully figured walnut veneer with a striking, expressive grain that brings depth and warmth to its compact form. Its silhouette is carefully composed, with softly rounded corners on one side introducing a gentle asymmetry that reflects the transition toward Modernist thinking within 1930s design.
Functionally, the piece is well considered: a single door with a matching round dark-brown handle opens to storage space, complemented by a small open shelf above.
