A set of four vintage chairs, manufactured by the German manufacturer A. Rudolph for the Taunus-Stabil brand. These chairs date from the period 1950-1960 and are a classic example of the functional 'Frankfurter' style, known for its simplicity and durability. The set has a unique origin, coming from a former monastery.
The chairs are made of solid wood with a warm, honey-colored lacquer finish that accentuates the wood grain. The design is minimalist and robust, with a slightly curved backrest for comfort and sturdy, square legs. These German production chairs are a testament to post-war design, where functionality and clear formal language were central.
