This is a Charly armchair, a design by Gerard van den Berg for the Dutch brand Montis from the 1980s. The piece of furniture is characterized by its innovative construction, where the fabric upholstery is draped like a coat over the metal frame. The design features a black metal frame and grey mélange fabric upholstery with a fine stripe pattern. The generous, loose cushions for the seat and backrest contribute to comfort. This model is a well-known example of Dutch Design and the postmodern aesthetic of the 80s.
