Superb ewer or carafe in thick molded glass and pewter mount, probably made between the 1930s and 1950s, in a late Art Deco or even retro-modernist style.
The stylized silhouette of the rooster (shape of the beak, crest, tail) is a typical animal evocation of the first half of the 20th century, very decorative. The handle and the spout are finely worked in cast pewter, with a hinged lid.
