Metalarte:
Metalarte is a family business with a history spanning nearly a century, which began as a metalworking workshop, founded by Antonio Riera Clariana in 1932 under the name Metall Arts.
In the early 1940s, the company began designing and manufacturing its own lamp models.
It wasn't until the late 1950s that it began to define the modern and innovative character for which it is renowned, influenced by the flourishing Scandinavian design of the time.
From the 1960s onward, it began working with external designers who would become leading figures in Spanish industrial design, such as André Ricard, Enric Franch, Joan Antoni Blanc, and Josep Lluscà, thus establishing itself as a benchmark in the lighting sector and a pioneering company in Spanish design; in addition to distributing certain models produced by international firms such as Louis Poulsen, Arteluce, and Stilnovo.
