Product description
This pair of club chairs is attributed to designer Peter Maly for German manufacturer Cor, dating from the 1980s, and it is originated from the Kempinski Hotel. The design follows the bold, geometric silhouette typical of 1980s club chairs, with a wide, wing-like backrest, a deep tufted seat cushion, and turned wooden bun feet. Upholstered in navy faux leather with contrasting beige piping, the pair brings a graphic, sculptural presence to a living room or hotel-lobby-style seating arrangement.
Condition and Character
Original condition with signs of use. The faux leather upholstery shows scuffs, light scratches, and surface staining consistent with age and prior use, along with some discoloring in places. On both chairs, one of the buttons on the seat cushion is a replacement of a slightly different size than the others. There is also minor cracking to the piping at a few seam points. Both chairs remain structurally sound and usable in their current state.
