Yves Lohé "Cocorico" zoomorphic bronze subject with golden patina from the 90s
Here's a bronze sculpture that's sure to please fans of French expressionist sculpture!
Born in 1947 in northern France, Yves LOHÉ is a contemporary French artist and sculptor specializing in wrought-iron and artistic bronze subjects with a wiry, brutalist look and modern, expressionist themes!
After a career teaching French Law, he began his artistic career in earnest in 1972, when he met the great master wrought-iron worker Abel Bataillard, nicknamed the "Master of Pigalle Wrought Iron". He passed on to him his knowledge of ironwork and wrought iron, and later of bronze.
One thing led to another, and he perfected his techniques to become one of the greatest, producing both decorative and monumental sculptures for cities and private collections. It was in 1979 that Lohé developed his bronze art and opened his own workshop, "2nd Fire Art", where he produced works such as "Cocorico", which you can see here, and many others, in Yves Lohé's own abstract, expressionist style!
Having become a master of this material and his art, this sculpture in the shape of a crowing rooster is one of the artist's rarest and most emblematic works! Its golden patina, its expressive form and its character... It's much more than a decorative subject, it's a true work of art, made to be collected!
If you're a fan of French gilt bronze subjects, expressionism or the renowned French artist Yves Lohé, don't hesitate! Adopt one of Yves Lohé's iconic expressionist and abstract works without further ado!
