This poster celebrates the 21st Anniversary of the influential Young Contemporaries exhibition, founded in 1949 by Carel Weight to showcase emerging art students from leading British art schools. The 1970 edition was the last before the exhibition was revived in 1974 as Contemporaries at Camden Arts Centre.
The artwork was likely created by one of the participating student artists, reflecting the experimental spirit of the show.
