The Massive Bug Eye is a true eye-catcher from the Space Age era of the 1960s and 70s.
With its plastic shade reminiscent of a futuristic spaceship, this lamp is a unique piece of design history.
This design is often thought to be by renowned designer Luigi Colani, but that's not true. While the organic, spatial forms of his work—from cars to televisions and household appliances—certainly share similarities, the Bug Eye is not part of his official portfolio.
The lamp is still in very good condition. There are some minor signs of wear visible in the form of scratches, but these are consistent with its age and do not detract from its beautiful appearance!
