San Remo, Liguria. Between the sea and the hills, Italian artisanal ceramics have always embraced bold colors and generous designs. This small dish is a beautiful illustration of this. The sun-yellow of the glaze is intense, almost vibrant. On this luminous background, a painter has hand-applied clusters of reddish-brown cherries, dark green leaves, and fine, lively stems. The brushwork is free, expressive, lively. The shape is artful: a scalloped edge with eight undulating lobes, a hemispherical profile, and a green line on the outer perimeter. Diameter approximately 15 cm, height approximately 6 cm. Underneath the base, the handwritten green stamp: "Blum, S. Remo" confirms its origin. Intact earthenware, vibrant colors.
