For sale is the absolute highlight from an estate: a monumental, large ice glass wall light by J.T. Kalmar (Kalmar Franken KG) from the late 1960s. This XXL model consists of 18 massive, centimeter-thick square plates of structured ice glass, which are arranged offset and look like a modern work of art. The lamp was purchased new at the time and hung untouched on the wall until the end of 2025. "First-hand history: This light is an absolute unique piece with a complete family history. The lamp is therefore from genuine, pure first ownership and has been cherished in family possession for decades." Condition of the glass: Absolutely flawless and perfect. With such a large number of heavy glass plates, there are almost always damages over the decades - but with this piece, every single ice glass plate is completely undamaged! No cracks, no chips, no flaking at the corners. Condition of the frame: Honest and authentic. The metal frame in the background has the normal age-related patina and minimal superficial signs of wear after more than 50 years, which are not visible at all behind the glass when assembled. The original pull switch is still present. • Current status: The lamp was recently professionally dismantled. The heavy glass elements have already been individually and neatly packed for protection so that they are safely stored. An extremely rare collector's item in this undamaged condition from a well-maintained, pet-free, non-smoking household. Transport is handled without any risk for buyer and seller via the specialized Whoppah furniture courier (costs borne by the buyer).
