Offered: A very beautiful and impressive XXL Chinese porcelain lidded vase. This object distinguishes itself from standard export vases by its rarer painting: a cartouche with Arabic or Persian script, surrounded by a colorful, Baroque-style floral and coat-of-arms motif. The vase is richly decorated with multicolored floral motifs and enamel accents. The lid features a characteristic, gold-colored lion (Fo dog) as a knob. Unique feature: Original, well-matching set. The workshop work/assembly number “E” is inscribed on both the inside of the lid (with original ventilation hole) and on the outside of the base. This proves that this lid and this vase were made and fired together in the workshop as an original, unique set. The lion's nose has a minuscule scratch.
