This glass vase from the Turmalin series was designed in the 1950s by the renowned Bauhaus designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld for the German manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). The piece is defined by its simple, organic, and slightly flattened form, reminiscent of a tall river stone or a droplet with rounded edges.
Crafted from thick, high-quality glass, the vase is mass-colored in a deep shade of sea-green or tourmaline that filters and refracts light. It measures 26 cm in height, 8 cm in width, and 3 cm in depth, with a minimalist opening that tapers towards the top. Produced in Germany during the 1950s and 1960s, it represents a significant example of mid-century European modernist design.
