A rare vintage designer lamp. This is an original WMF Ikora table lamp, designed by Karl Wiedmann for the German WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). 1930s-1950s. Please bid according to value.
More info: Thick, hand-blown studio glass with a veined Ikora structure in turquoise, green, and purple-brown.
Dual light (unique): Double socket allowing the glass base to light up atmospherically from within while the top lamp is lit. Condition: The glass is in excellent condition. The original pleated shade has some light age spots/fly droppings, but is otherwise in neat, sturdy condition. See photos.
WMF glassware from this series was exclusively fitted with a paper sticker at the time and has no stamp in the glass. However, the design is 100% iconic and instantly recognizable to the connoisseur.
