DESCRIPTION:
Derr Solo is a very flexible lounge chair that can be converted into a chaise longue with just one movement. The first question that Prof. Heiligener obviously asks himself when designing a piece of furniture is that of its later use. The lying surface stretches above the ground like a bridge. The armrests integrated into the continuously adjustable backrest provide a feeling of security. The possibility of folding the foot section is signaled by a visually indicated pivot point.
A cheeky Design object with high relaxation value! A very high quality alternative to the Wink from Cassina.

MATERIAL:
Powder-coated tubular steel / naturally grained thick nappa leather, slightly pigmented, aniline-dyed
A little leather knowledge: “Not Leather is the same!!”...
Please do not compare this Leather with subsequent, i.e. artificially grained, Leather. With artificially grained Leather, the lower layers of the animal skin (split leather) are pressed through heated steel rollers. The rollers have a surface that mimics the natural grain of leather and use pressure and heat to create an artificial grain (embossing) on the original smooth leather.
This artificially grained Leather is very often used in leather furniture that is found on eBay, Amazon & Co as well as in upholstered furniture department stores with so-called bargain prices, producer prices, direct purchase prices, etc. (often Chinese goods). This Furniture is often advertised with the term “genuine Leather”, which is factually correct. This does not mean high quality, it is by no means a seal of quality, it just means that it is not artificial leather!!
The Leather is characterized by quite a lot of wear and tear; with normal use the grain disappears after a while. It also feels cold and often quite rubbery due to the high amount of paint applied. The difference in quality is also noticeable in terms of price; at tanneries it only costs about 1/3 of the price of high-quality Leather, as in the traditional sense it is actually scrap or third-choice goods.

The photos are highly exposed so that the 1a condition can be seen in detail! Reddish tones become redder and colors generally become brighter. The shadow areas or the areas not directly illuminated by the photo light best reproduce the colors in nature. Shininess in the photos or grayish or milky areas are also due to the exposure or lighting (reflections). The surfaces are semi-matt to semi-glossy.

CONDITION:
The Solo is technically and visually in very good condition and looks almost like new. It is very well maintained, works perfectly and has only very minor signs of wear.
The typical slight leather wrinkles in the bend area are completely normal in functional armchairs.
