Product description
"Cacao Awaits" depicts a clear winter moment in Nuenen, the Brabant village near Eindhoven where Vincent van Gogh once lived. The landscape is quiet and open: bare trees, a narrow waterway, and a small bridge reflected in the tranquil water. A bright blue winter sky stretches above the landscape.
It's a typical winter day, cold but beautiful. The air is clear, and you decide to take a long walk through the countryside. You enjoy the fresh air and the peace, but deep down, you also know what awaits you at home: a hot cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream. That prospect—that warm reward after a cold walk—is the idea behind the title "Cacao Awaits."
The painting captures precisely that moment: the fresh silence of the outdoors and the warm prospect of home. This work was first exhibited in December 2025.
