Product description
Gispen design chair from 1957. The Dutch armchair is model 416. Designed by Wim Rietveld and Andre Cordemeyer. Very early specimen in gray/ anthracite fiberglass (polyester). The chair is the first Dutch polyester chair cast in one piece. The seat stands on a solid metal tubular frame with rubber shock absorbers. The dimensions are 70.5 cm wide, 34 cm seat height and 74 cm high.
Some signs of use are visible on the solid legs, in the form of paint damage. Not surprising for a chair of this age. The chair is in completely original condition.
