Beautiful designer furniture by William Watting, in a rare double version.
The wall unit consists of 8 shelves, 3 uprights, and two deep shelves with bases.
A unique design by William Watting, an American architect who lived and worked in Denmark.
Period: 1950s/60s. Manufacturer: A. Mikael Laursen.
Beautifully organically designed. Both the shelves and uprights have a beautiful rounded finish. See detailed photos. The shelves hang in a very ingenious suspension system.
Material: Solid oak. Teak veneer.
The wall unit is modular, so you can assemble it to your liking. In this configuration, we used 7 shelves; the 8th is included separately, including the suspension system.
We reassembled the unit for the photos, and therefore it leans against the wall. Normally, the top is still upright and should be secured to the wall with two screws on the top shelves.
Condition: in good condition, with some signs of wear (see detailed photos), not very noticeable. In good condition for its age.
Dimensions: 209 cm high, 213 cm wide, 47 cm deep.
The last two photos are from the store where we originally bought it.
