For sale is a beautiful lidded box/cigarette case/cigarette box. It was designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld for WMF in 1955. It is pictured in the catalogue raisonné (Daily in Use, Industrial Forms by Wilhelm Wagenfeld from 6 Decades, Worpsweder Verlag, p. 334, catalogue raisonné no. 556). It is a two-part metal case in a rare finish with a brass overlay. The underside is marked with the WMF beehive logo (1935-1965), and the lid is marked "Olivetti." Among the designers working for Olivetti were Ettore Sottsass and Mario Bellini.
Dimensions: Height approx. 4 cm, width approx. 13 cm, depth approx. 10 cm.
