For sale is the rare "Eremit" liqueur bottle with stopper. This bottle was designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld around 1937. This is an early version produced for the Vereinigte Lausitzer Glaswerke (VLG) in Weißwasser.
Two-part construction made of light, gray-blue tinted transparent glass, cut and polished.

Wilhelm Wagenfeld was initially a student at the Bauhaus in Weimar under László Moholy-Nagy and created some of the most famous Bauhaus objects during this time. In 1928, he became head of the metal workshop, and from 1931 onward, he worked as a freelance designer for the Jena Glassworks and the United Lausitz Glassworks.
