One of three very beautiful, stylish XL mushroom Bauhaus ceiling lamps by Wilhelm Wagenfeld.
This MCM lamp was designed by German designer Wilhelm Wagenfeld for the Lindner GmbH factory, where he worked between 1955 and 1970 (type number 961.2, Ø30 cm). Wagenfeld's influence on and co-shape of the Bauhaus movement is evident in the simplicity of this lamp.
RAAK and Philips have also offered this lamp for sale.
The glass bowl is made of transparent on white opal glass. The shade is threaded onto the porcelain base, which also serves as a socket.
The number 961 is stamped on the bottom of the base, confirming that this version was produced by Lindner.
If not sold, we have three of these beautiful MCM lamps in stock. The listed price is for one lamp.
Dimensions:
Height: 15.5 cm
Diameter: 30 cm.
Fitting diameter: approximately 11 cm.
Two of the lamps have a chip missing from the porcelain fitting (see photo 9). We have priced these two lamps slightly lower. The listed price is for the undamaged lamp. If you are interested in one of the other lamps, please send us a message so we can adjust the price for you. The glass shades of all three lamps are in mint condition.
The glass of one of the three lamps is considerably thinner than the other two, which gives it a slightly brighter light.
