For sale is an original graphic print ("Eigener Druck" / Author's own print) by the well-known Austrian academic artist Wilhelm Loisel (1914–2005).
The Story & Provenance:
This artwork has a fantastic, documented history. It was commissioned in December 1994 by the luxurious "Parkhotel Pörtschach" (Lake Wörthersee, Austria) as an exclusive Christmas/New Year's gift for their VIP guests. The motif captures the hotel's iconic weathercock ("Wetterhahn") on the roof of the beach pavilion, beautifully covered in winter snow.
Collector's Highlight:
Attached to the back is the perfectly preserved original Christmas greeting letter from the hotel (dated December 1994), hand-signed by the General Manager at the time, Mr. Hubert Schiefer. It completely details and proves the history of this piece. A museum-grade provenance!
