A stunning design classic, this Mid-Century Modern ceramic. This original West German WGP vase was produced by Jasba Keramik in the late 1950s / early 1960s. The item is in very beautiful condition and still features the original, authentic gold factory label "Jasba" on the front. The vase has a slender, elegant shape and is executed in the iconic "Cortina" decor (designed in 1956, named after the Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics, Italy). The base consists of a crackled and tactile cream-white shrink glaze, decorated with a powerful, hand-applied modernist design of thick black circles and spirals. The underside is officially marked in relief with "W.Germany 105/28". A fantastic eye-catcher in any vintage, retro, or modern interior!
