Product description
The floor lamp consists of a vintage lamp base with a new shade. The original shade is no longer preserved. A stylish one-off, perfect as an accent lamp for the living room or bedroom. This extraordinary floor lamp stands out with its sculptural, glazed ceramic base in a pagoda shape in an intense turquoise color. The stele-like shape is typical of lamps from the West German Pottery era. As the lamp base was probably only produced in a very small edition, no equivalent model has yet been found. A maker's mark has not been preserved. However, due to the style of the ceramic and the glaze as well as the original wiring, the lamp base can be safely dated to the 1960s. The lamp base including the socket is 55 cm high. The lamp base is in excellent condition and has been professionally rewired. The textile cable harmonizes in colour with the glaze, equipped with Euro plug and toggle switch. The cylindrical shade is covered with a high-quality semi-panama fabric in France in a natural color, printed with a turquoise coral motif. The pattern has a lively effect, especially in the light. Diameter 35 cm, height 40 cm.
