Sculptural solifleur or block vase made of solid glass by Walther Kristallglas, manufactured in West Germany.
The flat, almost circular shape has a narrow opening for a single flower or a decorative branch. In the lower part, deep green and red glass form a striking "bullseye" or peacock eye motif. The solid clear glass creates beautiful optical reflections and color effects depending on the light incidence.
The design is often attributed to Heiner Düsterhaus and is presumably dated to the 1970s.
The original round Walther mark and the manufacturer's label "Walther Kristall – Made in Western Germany – hochglanz-feuerpoliert" are still present.
