Elegant porcelain vase of Wallendorf Modern, model 2160.
The slender, plastically structured form was designed in 1963 by Hans Merz. The purple, hand-painted on-glaze decoration comes from Heinz Werner and was developed in 1964.
The vase combines a clear Mid-Century silhouette with a fine, ornamental-floral decoration in strong purple-pink on white porcelain. Due to the slightly faceted shape, the pattern changes depending on the viewing angle.
On the bottom is the Wallendorf mark with crown, “W 1764”, “Germany” and “hand-painted”. Additionally, the form number 2160 is embossed.
