A very beautiful small modernist vase, glazed stoneware with an ash glaze. The glaze is a mottled, grayish-white, pale green ash glaze with hints of khaki, dripping from the neck to the base. It has a simple flared shape with a large, round, upturned neck. In the Wabi-Sabi style, it may be of Japanese origin. Unsigned. Vintage 1980s-90s.
21cm high, 12-13cm maximum diameter. In very good condition, with nothing noticeable except for some natural crazing of the glaze. A lovely piece for a clean, minimalist, Japanese-inspired decor. Approximately 800g.
