Vintage XL 'mushroom' table lamp manufactured by Peill & Putzler in the 1970s. This lamp is made in one piece from opal glass with zebra print and satin finish. This is the large model with a height of 38 cm and a diameter of 33 cm.
Inside, the lamp has the original sticker from the manufacturer as a sign of authenticity. Also, this table lamp is still in very nice condition.
The lamp is fully intact and in beautiful vintage condition. When switched on it gives a soft and atmospheric light. On the socket, the sticker from the manufacturer is still present as proof of authenticity.
Peill & son was founded in 1903 and merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947 continuing under the name 'Peill + Putzler Glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its existence, the company has collaborated with important designers as well as other companies such as Raak Amsterdam and Massive. At its peak (1950s), some 1,500 people worked for the company. Unfortunately, in 2004, a year after their 100th anniversary, the company was declared bankrupt.
