A set of tall-footed candlesticks designed in the 1960s by Fritz Nagel in collaboration with the architect/artist Werner Stoff. These chrome-plated metal candlesticks were manufactured by the German company BMF (Bayerische Metallwarenfabrik).
The design is known for its modular, creative form, allowing for various sculptural combinations by stacking or arranging multiple pieces. This set is a beautiful example of such a sculpture, making it more of a work of art than a utilitarian object.
The set consists of 24 candlesticks (21 loose, 3 mounted on a base), 1 bowl, and a tall floor plinth. Because the set is modular, its shape can be continually changed or even expanded.
All components are in good condition with some light patina. The base also has a few small dents (see photo).
