The iconic Wassily chair, also known as the B3 chair, was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925 and is considered a milestone in Bauhaus design. Inspired by bicycle handlebars and with an innovative use of bent tubular steel, Breuer developed this chair at the age of just 25 during his time as a master craftsman at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The chair is made of high-quality chrome-plated tubular steel and is upholstered in hard-wearing leather, which was used for the seat as well as the backrest and armrests. The Wassily chair is an excellent example of the clear and functional design of the Bauhaus movement and has worldwide collector's value.
