The iconic Wassily armchair, also known as the B3 chair, was designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer and is considered a milestone in Bauhaus design. Inspired by bicycle handlebars and featuring an innovative use of bent steel tubes, Breuer developed this chair at the age of just 25 during his time as a master craftsman at the Bauhaus in Weimar. The chair is made of high-quality chrome-plated steel tubes and is upholstered in durable leather, which is used for the seat, backrest, and armrests. The Wassily chair is an excellent example of the clear and functional design of the Bauhaus movement and holds collector value worldwide. This is the vintage version marked with a sticker (no longer present).
The chair is in beautiful vintage condition.
