Special vintage ceramic Table lamp by Walter Gerhards, produced in West Germany in the 1960s–1970s. The sculptural lamp base has a distinct organic shape with double handles, openwork details, and relief decoration. The dark reactive glaze is combined with warm accents in ocher, orange, and green, typical of the expressive West German ceramics from this period. The design is powerful and decorative and fits well with the Fat Lava, Brutalist, and Mid-Century aesthetic. Even without a shade, the lamp base is a strong ceramic object in itself.
