Swedish Design Classic - The Ladder Shelf 🇸🇪
Swedish architect Nisse Strinning designed this modular wall system in 1949 for a public library design competition.
A few years later, he put the design into production at his company, String Design AB.
It is a beautiful, airy, and playful design thanks to the open shelves made of black plastic-coated wire metal.
In the current configuration, approx. 319 cm wide x max. 200 cm high. Consists of:
9x Ladder (wall mounting)
2x Sliding door cabinet with shelf -

2x Sliding door cabinet with shelf -
78 cm wide x 42 cm high x 30 cm deep
1x Drop-down cabinet with lock (key included) and compartments / shelves -

3x Light shelf (not connected) -
78 cm wide x 36 cm deep
All necessary mounting parts, excluding wall screws and plugs.
In authentic vintage condition with signs of use, discoloration, and wear appropriate for its age.
Openings for cables / ventilation have been installed in both tall chests of drawers (audio equipment was previously placed inside).
