A beautiful 70-year-old Vintage Turkish Oushak Rug, traditionally handwoven in Anatolia from 100% wool. Measuring 254 × 130 cm, this one-of-a-kind rug features an elegant central medallion surrounded by traditional floral motifs, creating the timeless decorative character associated with vintage Anatolian and Oushak rugs. The design is dominated by a rich burgundy and deep red field, contrasted by a soft cream central medallion and border, with muted green, charcoal and earthy details. Decades of natural ageing have created a beautifully distressed, timeworn patina, giving the rug an authentic character that cannot be reproduced by modern production. The rug has a short-pile surface, is completely handwoven from wool and features colours traditionally created using vegetable dyes. Its long rectangular proportions make it particularly suitable for a living room, bedroom, dining area, entrance hall or alongside a large dining table.
