Modern oil landscape by the Swedish painter and illustrator and Ture Pettersson George Nilsson (1919-2000). Hand-signed by the author in the lower left part of the picture. Oil painting from the 60’s. Oil painting on the canvas. In an original period setting.
Ture John Gunnar Pettersson, born November 18, 1919 in Gothenburg, died June 22, 2000 in Gothenburg, was a Swedish painter and illustrator
Peterson studied art at Valanda’s painting school in the late 1950s. Together with Georg Andersson and Bror Göransson, he exhibited at the Olsen art salon in Gothenburg in 1949. He was represented at the Konstfrämjandet exhibition in Borås and Eskilstuna in 1949 and at Ulricehamn in 1950. His work consists of figurative motifs, still lifes and landscape representations in oil and on book covers and drawings for the magazine press.
