Absolutely beautiful French eye-catcher from the 1950s.
This tripod floor lamp is attributed to Mathieu Matégot. The three black lacquered metal tubes are held together by two gold-plated rings and paper cord is wired between them. The screw fittings are hidden in aluminum cups painted in three different colors, beige, red and eggplant. Many hours were needed to re-cover the caps with paper cord and the paper cord on the stand was re-covered.
