Beautiful Midcentury Rug, Model 'Symfoni'. Produced by the Swedish Tabergs Yllefabrik. The Rug is Marked.
It is a traditional Scandinavian Rya high-pile Rug. The Rya is the Northern European precursor to the modern "Shaggy" or long-pile Rug. The Rugs are hand-knotted, and this Rug is also hand-knotted as stated on the label: Med Handgjord Charm!
The Rug has a palette of varied blue tones. This Rya Rug is in good condition. There are slight signs of use here and there, consistent with its age.
