Illuminate your space with a touch of whimsical charm with this Vintage Toucan Lamp by Old Timer Ferrari, a delightful creation from the 1970s. This playful yet sophisticated piece is a testament to the vibrant design ethos of the era, bringing a splash of color and personality to any room.
Connoisseurs know that an original Toucan lamp in beautiful condition is a sought-after collector's item, even if the lampshade has been burned in by the heat of the old bulbs, as is the case with several of the lamps offered.
This original and iconic Toucan was designed by Enea Ferrari in 1970 for OTF (Old Timer Ferrari) and is an early example from before 1973 with the original Achille Castiglioni VLM 475 switch from 1968, cord, and plug.
The lampshade is NOT burned in; the original incandescent bulb has since been replaced with a 4W LED filament bulb, so the lampshade is no longer susceptible to burn-in.
What makes this item extra special is that the original double-sided OTF label on the power cord is still present. We have only found one such item with a label. An item with the original label is now very rare and rarely offered for sale!
The lamp is in excellent condition, with no discoloration or cracks, and is completely complete with only minor scratches on the plastic housing, which are not obtrusive. The original high-gloss finish of the plastic has naturally been preserved.
