A classic vintage bentwood chair by Thonet from 1981. The characteristic construction of bent beechwood draws on the time-honored design language of the famous Viennese coffeehouse chairs, combining a light, elegant silhouette with functional stability. The open design of the backrest, formed by two curved bentwood arches, is particularly beautiful. The flowing lines continue in the slender legs and the curved cross braces beneath the seat. The light, warm-toned beechwood lends the chair a timeless and inviting appeal. The seat is finished with classic Viennese cane webbing. The fine octagonal weave creates a beautiful contrast to the solid bentwood and underscores the chair's traditional coffeehouse character. Its understated design allows it to be combined with both classic and modern interiors. Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor age-related wear to the wood. The Viennese cane webbing is very well-maintained, taut, and without any noticeable damage or breaks. Overall, a beautifully preserved and immediately usable Thonet chair.
