Vintage, steel Art Deco wall unit with slate shelves
Beautiful vintage/Art Deco shelving unit or bookcase. If I am not mistaken, the cabinet originates from the old National Archives in The Hague and is therefore older than 100 years! (see last photo) However, I am not entirely certain about that. It might be a replica by Jan van IJken Oude Bouwmaterialen (price well over 1500e).
The cabinet is made of thick steel and has 5 slate shelves per section. The cabinet is in very good condition. The cabinet is easy to disassemble and assemble.
I have an extra upright, so you can use it to split this cabinet into 2 narrower units (see the second-to-last photo).
The cabinet was originally 244 cm high, but I sawed a piece off so that it fits in my living room (that wasn't fun to do, but unfortunately). In the current configuration, the cabinet is 210 cm high, 211 cm wide, and 44 cm deep (incl. footrest approx. 62 cm).
