Very special and rare Space Age vase (model 1640) by Plateelbakkerij Zenith in Gouda.
Features and History
Origin: Manufactured by Plateelbakkerij Zenith in Gouda, the Netherlands. The factory was founded in 1749 as a pipe factory and began producing decorated ceramics in 1918.
Design: The vase features a characteristic "Space Age" design with a sleek, tall handle and a striking orange/red glaze with dark flames or "fat lava" effects.
Period: Produced in the 1960s or 1970s.
In excellent vintage condition as shown in the photos.
