Vintage Cristal de Sèvres "Poodle" Crystal Ashtray (c. 1970) - Frosted Cameo Medallion – Originally Made in France
Exclusive vintage high-end decorative piece: a thick, solid lead crystal ashtray or valet tray, made in France by the legendary luxury firm Cristal de Sèvres circa 1970.
This sought-after collector's item stands out for its impeccable octagonal design and its ornate background featuring a superb frosted high-relief depicting the head of a Poodle wearing a luxurious collar decorated with spherical studs and a central lower ring for an identification tag.
The acid-etched signature of the maison, along with the "FRANCE" mark of origin, is perfectly legible on the outer base. A heavy, elegant piece with crystal-clear transparency, ideal for display cases or accent tables.
Condition: Excellent. The glass retains a stunning, clean transparency with magnificent light refraction, completely free of opacity. It has no nicks, chips, or structural damage; only the slight and inevitable signs of age on the outer base in the form of superficial micro-scratches from being placed on it, which attest to the piece's authenticity and age.
