Set of two vintage fragrance lamps in the shape of a beautiful owl from the 1950s. These Mid - Century owl lamps are made of ceramic and have beautiful details.
A perfume lamp is a porcelain figurine with an opening that provides access to a reservoir that can be filled with a scented oil. When the perfume lamp is on, the heat of the lamp heats the perfume oil, causing it to evaporate and a pleasant scent to disappear.
There is a wide variety of perfume lamps, with animal figures being the most common. The lamps were produced between 1910 and 1980 by the likes of Wagner & Apel, Volkstedt, Rosenthal and Goebel, but there are other manufacturers who made these lamps as well. They are highly decorative lamps, as well as true collectors' items!
The owl lamps are in very good vintage condition and work properly.
