An elegant vintage serving tray by Scalella Firenze, an Italian maker based in Florence. 24KT gold-plated metal, burl wood veneer, glass top, original Scalella Firenze leather hangtag. The tray combines a richly grained burl wood veneer base with a substantial clear glass top, framed by a decorative metal structure with a twisted rope motif and arched carrying handles. The metal elements are 24-karat gold plated, as indicated by the original marking “Golden 24 KT.” The tray also retains its original Scalella Firenze leather hangtag, adding an interesting original detail to the piece. The combination of burl wood, gold-toned metal and glass gives the tray a sophisticated Hollywood Regency / Mid-Century decorative character, making it suitable both for serving and as a decorative object.
