This Sawa Keramik vase from West Germany is a refined example of post-war European ceramic art. Manufactured in the 1950s, this object distinguishes itself through the characteristic sgraffito technique and the rare preservation of the original factory label.
The design is executed in high-quality ceramic and displays an earthy color palette of deep brown and soft beige. The decoration is hand-incised using the traditional sgraffito method, resulting in a tangible, geometric pattern of stylized leaf shapes and horizontal bands.
