Vintage Roche Bobois / Willy Rizzo layered coffee tables 70s Italy.
Beautiful and rare vintage design set consisting of a 2-tier coffee table and a 3-tier side table - Skyscrapers.
These layered tables exude the ultimate 70s Hollywood Regency / minimalist aesthetic, strongly in the style of designers such as Willy Rizzo (Mario Sabot, Manufacturer) and released at the time by Roche Bobois (Distributor).
The design stands out due to the sleek contrast between the deep black laminate tops on wood and the chromed/brushed metal edges.
Functional storage space is located all around between the floating layers, ideal for magazines, books, or remote controls.
The contrasting metal bands give the set an extremely luxurious and architectural look, Skyscrapers. Dimensions:
Large table (2-tier): 80 x 80 x 33 cm high
Band width 9 cm high, gap 7.5 cm high / gap depth 17 cm on both sides
Small table (3-tier): 70.5 x 45.5 x 45 cm high
Band width 9 cm high, gap 6 cm high / gap depth 12.5 cm on the long side and 15 cm on the short side
Condition:
The set is in beautiful vintage condition with signs consistent with its age; see photos, but difficult to capture on the metal bands due to the reflective surface.
Laminate: In very good condition, light superficial scratches.
Metal bands: In good condition with clear scratches and some stains; otherwise good shine, inherent to age and use.
Absolute eye-catchers in both modern and eclectic vintage interiors.
