Product description
Rare lounge chair. It was likely manufactured in Germany during the 1930s. It is a masterful blend of functionalism and organic design. The structure is based on a harmonious combination of three different materials: natural bamboo, flexible rattan, and raw metal. The main frame is formed from solid natural bamboo shoots, which create distinctive, geometric curves in the lower section of the frame. This due the structure a visually light appearance while maintaining durability. Comfort is guaranteed by the high, ergonomically contoured backrest and deep seat, finished with a dense rattan weave. Minimalist metal structural elements stabilize the armrests and reclining mechanism, adding a modern, technical touch to the piece.
The chair's most important feature is the integrated, extendable footrest, discreetly hidden beneath the seat. This clever system allows you to transform this classic chair into a comfortable lounger in just a few simple steps. Due to its sculptural yet simple form, this piece of furniture is a perfect example of timeless design that will fit perfectly into both modern and eclectic vintage interiors.
This piece is in original condition and has not been restored. It has minor cracks and traces of age, rust on metal parts. scrapes, scratches, minor breaks in rattan, discoloration.
